Those who care about the environment tend to vote less than others by a sizable amount. This has enormous implications for the issues that elected officials choose to address and how they choose to address them. Fortunately, there are proven approaches to increasing voter turnout, and faith communities can play a leading role in encouraging more people to vote their values. This free webinar will feature Nathaniel Stinnett who has recently analyzed the results of the 2018 elections with an eye to what can be learned for future elections. Stinnett is the founder of the Environmental Voter Poject. He has been dubbed "The Voting Guru" by Grist magazine, and he has been hailed as a "visionary" by The New York Times.
This webinar is co-hosted by the Rev. Dr. Brooks Berndt of the United Church of Christ Environmental Justice Ministry and the Rev. Michael Malcom of Alabama Interfaith Power & Light and the People's Justice Council.
