The EPA in 2021: Prioritizing Moral Accountability
During the Trump administration, Harvard Law School’s Environmental and Energy Law Program began tracking all of the environmental rules and protections that were being rolled back. According to the New York Times, over 100 rollbacks have either been completed or are in progress. The rollbacks include weakened limits on CO2 emissions, the removal of protections for more than half the nation's wetlands, and the undoing of restrictions on mercury pollution from power plants. The EPA's stated mission is to protect human health and the environment. What needs to happen in 2021 to repair and advance this mission? What do faith communities need to know to hold the EPA morally accountable? These panelists will help us answer these questions:

-Caitlin McCoy, Staff Attorney, Harvard Law School’s Environmental and Energy Law Program

-Vernice Miller-Travis, Executive Vice President, Metropolitan Group

-Eric Schaeffer, Executive Director, Environmental Integrity Project
